Thermal and Visual Imaging
Southern Geophysical excels in thermal imaging, offering surveys for underfloor heating systems, buildings, leak detection, and more
Southern Geophysical regularly undertakes the following type of thermal imaging camera work:
Buildings
Leak Detection
Underfloor Heating Systems
We can use thermal imaging for other types of work, so contact us if you have something we could help with.
Underfloor Heating Systems
A thermal imaging survey of an underfloor heating system involves capturing thermal images of the floor with the heating system turned on. Using very sensitive thermal cameras it is possible to identify the location and route of the sub-surface pipes by way of a temperature difference on the surface of the floor.
Surveys of an underfloor heating system are carried out for several reasons including:
Assist in diagnosing the causes of poorly performing areas.
Assist in locating the source of water leaks.
Locate and map the network of sub-surface pipes.
Verify that the installation meets with the design specification.
Camera Investigations
Southern Geophysical has a large range of optical cameras including borescopes, endoscopes, specialist pipe/borehole cameras and specialised side-facing cameras for investigating voiding beneath concrete slabs and foundations difficult to image.
